Confirmation

Confirmation, sometimes considered the "Sacrament of Evangelization," is the Sacrament where the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ (USCCB). The Sacrament of Confirmation, like all other sacraments, is rooted in Scripture, from the Old Testament to the new. Confirmation perfects and completes the grace of our Baptism. It is not the end of our faith formation as Catholics, but the call to a deeper understanding of the faith in order to become missionaries to this world.

Starting in 2023, all children and adults 4th grade and older are welcome to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Confirmation is held in the Fall with preparation the year previous. Please contact faithformation@ashtoncatholic.org for more information or to register.
